Invited by his good friends Muhadin and Luba Quandour, Muhadin and Jacqueline spent a week in Amman Jordan, where they were received with great warmth. The Circassian Diaspora in Jordan organised a concert/dinner in Muhadin’s honour and an exhibition of paintings of local artists, to which Muhadin corresponded giving a Master Class. He was presented with a commemorative plaque making him honorary member of the Union of Artists in Jordan. The visit culminated with a dinner in his honour where he was introduced to the Royal Family of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Her Majesty Princess Alia (sister of King Abdullah) and Prince Asem (who spent his childhood in Spain) with his Circassian wife Princess Sana, with whom Muhadin conversed in his mother tongue, the Kabardian language, spoken by the Circassians in many different countries of the world: USA, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, the UK and in its country of origin – The Caucasus. |
